"Full Circle" Kira Hikaru Hill 2025, Drawing, Black charcoal and willow charcoal, 18in.x24in.

"Full Circle" explores the human body stripped down to its most fundamental structure: the skeleton. By looking beyond appearances, social identities, and physical differences, I reflect on the shared humanity that connects us all. The skeleton becomes a reminder that, despite our differences, we share the same basic form and vulnerability. The work addresses the conflict between the seeming pointlessness of life and the remarkable opportunity that comes with being alive. Life can be both delicate and unpredictable, but it's a wonderful gift that's worth experiencing, in my opinion. This perspective challenges discrimination and invites viewers to reconsider how they value themselves, others, and the time they have.
